"The Middle East is a very complex and intriguing region where past and current events play such an important role in international affairs.
The student group Coalition for Justice (CJME) seeks to help the Stanford community obtain a better understanding of this troubled region. Coalition for Justice in the Middle East is also dedicated to promoting awareness of current events and instances of human rights violations and injustice in the region.
Our group works to engage the Stanford community by bringing intellectuals, authors, activists, academics, and journalists to campus, organizing panel discussions, and sponsoring film festivals and other campus events.
We plan events that we hope will spark dialogue and deepen understanding of topics pertaining to the Middle East." |
