Abstract

Background: Advanced anesthesia management is a cornerstone of modern perioperative medicine, directly influencing surgical outcomes and patient safety through physiological stabilization and optimized intraoperative care.

Aim: This study investigates the impact of advanced anesthesia management techniques on surgical outcomes and patient safety, with intraoperative hemodynamic stability modeled as a mediating construct.

Methods: A cross-sectional, multicenter analytical design was conducted among 357 perioperative healthcare professionals, including anesthesiologists, surgeons, and operating room staff across tertiary healthcare institutions. Data were collected using a validated structured questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to assess direct and mediating effects.

Results: Findings revealed that advanced anesthesia management significantly enhances surgical outcomes (β = 0.47, p < 0.001) and patient safety (β = 0.42, p < 0.001). Intraoperative hemodynamic stability was found to partially mediate the relationship between anesthesia management and both dependent variables, confirming its central physiological role in perioperative success.

Conclusion: Advanced anesthesia management significantly improves surgical and safety outcomes through direct and indirect physiological pathways. Standardization of anesthesia protocols and integration of real-time monitoring systems are strongly recommended.
